The nursery is committed to creating a safe, happy, and engaging space where children can thrive and develop confidently. They follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, making observations to understand each child's interests and developmental stage, which then informs their planning of exciting and developmentally appropriate activities. The setting emphasises the importance of each child as a unique individual, fostering their resilience and self-assurance through positive relationships. They believe in enabling environments that support children's learning and development, highlighting the crucial partnership between practitioners and parents. Willow offers dedicated rooms for different age groups: a nursery room for babies and toddlers up to approximately two years ten months, equipped with various sensory and developmental toys, and a sleep room. The pre-school room caters to children from two years ten months to four years eleven months, featuring a bright, purpose-built space divided into several learning areas, including a kitchen for cooking activities. Additionally, the nursery boasts a large outdoor play area, exclusively for its children, with climbing apparatus, a mud kitchen, and a digging area, where they conduct Forest School sessions to encourage child-led learning in the natural environment. Our ethos We want children to feel safe, stimulated and happy in our Nursery & Pre-School and to feel secure and comfortable with our staff. We also want parents to have confidence in both their children’s wellbeing and their role as active parents with the Nursery & Pre-School.
