Serving the Jewish communities of Stamford Hill and surrounding areas, the school is guided by the Rabbinate of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations. The institution is committed to fostering Charedi Jewish identity while promoting academic, personal, and social development. The curriculum integrates Torah principles with the National Curriculum, aiming to cultivate thinking, self-discipline, creativity, and moral understanding. Pupils are encouraged to adhere to Torah observance, reflecting the "three pillars of Judaism": Torah, Prayer, and Acts of Loving Kindness. The school strives to develop qualities such as modesty, tolerance, respect, courtesy, and leadership, preparing students to be "daughters of Israel" who proudly uphold their traditions. The school also seeks to instil respect for the environment and an understanding of the wider world. Our ethos Yesodey Hatorah School exists to meet the needs of the Charedi Jewish families in Stamford Hill, an area that is home to the biggest Orthodox Jewish community in Europe. The Charedi community makes up about 10% of Hackney's population and is growing at about 5% per annum. It is distinguished by its stringent adherence to and practice of Charedi Judaism. The school is guided by the authority of the Rabbinate of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations. Keeping a constant focus on excellence, opportunity and on our Charedi identity ensures that Torah values and an ethos of achievement are nurtured in the school's everyday life and routines.
