Abbeydale Playgroup, established in 1985, is a registered charity dedicated to providing a safe and joyful environment for children in Matson, Gloucester. The playgroup focuses on sessional childcare for children from two years old, offering a stimulating setting where children can develop essential social and learning skills.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged hourly as a sessional rate. Invoices are issued on a termly basis with an integrated payment plan available. A registration fee applies, which includes a t-shirt, though this is waived for funded two-year-olds.

How they support every child

SEND provision

The manager and her staff provide very good support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those that need extra help, creating strong relationships with families and making timely referrals to external agencies to ensure consistent support and good progress.

Outdoor space

Children develop their physical skills in the garden as they run, ride bikes and climb on the climbing frame; staff have attended training to enhance outdoor learning and use their large outdoor space to implement high-quality learning experiences.
