About this day nursery

Abbs Cross Day Nursery, established in 1996, is a family-owned company operating four nurseries, including one in Hornchurch. This particular branch has been serving the community for over two decades, providing childcare and pre-school education for children up to 5 years old.

The nursery is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, for 52 weeks a year. The Hornchurch setting, conveniently located for residents of Hornchurch, Elm Park, and Upminster, features colourful rooms specifically designed for different age groups: the Baby Nest for infants from birth to 2 years, and the Dolphins Room for children from around their second birthday until they are ready for school. Both indoor and a large, secure all-weather outdoor classroom are well-equipped with various resources to foster learning and development through play, including a pirate ship for physical activity.

The nursery regularly takes children on outings to local parks and libraries to explore their environment and has achieved a 5-star food hygiene rating, offering homemade, healthy, and nutritious meals.
