About this day nursery

Aplomb Day Nursery, a family-operated group serving North and West London, provides childcare and preschool education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Established in 2005 with its first branch in Palmers Green, the nursery focuses on creating a comfortable, "home from home" environment where children can thrive through play and exploration.

Their settings are thoughtfully designed to encourage learning. The nursery is committed to supporting each child’s developmental journey using the Birth to 5 Matters framework, incorporating fun, play-based activities, Montessori-style learning, and STEAM education to foster curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

They also emphasize early phonics for school readiness and implement a "5-a-day" reading rule to cultivate a love for books and language. Every child is assigned a Key Person who acts as their main point of care, ensuring they feel secure and supported while also keeping parents informed of their progress.

Daily outdoor play is integral to their routine, regardless of weather, in safe and well-equipped garden areas. The nursery offers comprehensive care, including healthy meals and snacks, and has clear protocols for managing allergies.

Aplomb Day Nursery aims to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that helps children build confidence, independence, and imagination.

Aplomb is the perfect nursery for our son. Their mixed aged groups, mud kitchen, focus on nutrition and outdoor play has helped him develop fantastically through his first year at nursery. The staff are wonderful. Mary is everything you could hope for in a nursery leader. We couldn't be happier, amd highly recommend Aplomb.

Aplomb is a really special place for my daughter , who still remembers all the fun she had there and all the special people she’s met. They played a huge part in her development, the staff is very professional, always making sure to contact me during the day if necessary, so the communication is 10 out of 10. Mary is the best, she’s helped my little one to settle, very patiently. We will always remember Aplomb very fondly 🥰😍

Our daughter really thrived at Aplomb. It's a small friendly nursery, well-organised with a range of fun activities including cooking, outdoor play, roleplay, art and trips to local parks. The bonds between the children and the staff are strong and their focus on kindness and positivity really shines through. We are very grateful we found Aplomb when we moved to Palmers Green!

My daughter has been so happy and really is developing so well. The staff are great, friendly and kind, I think Aplomb ticks all the boxes. All we really want is our babies to be cared for so we know they are safe, enjoying themselves and learning and we have been very happy.

Both our children went to Aplomb from 12 months right up to leaving for school. It’s a very lovely, nurturing environment where they were always so happy. We would recommend it to anyone!
