Inclusion & environment
There is thorough and sensitive support in place for all children, in particular those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The manager and her staff team work closely with outside services, parents and carers to provide diligent oversight of all children's needs. They adapt activities and resources with great flexibility so that, wherever possible, all children have access to the same experiences as their peers.
Staff are vigilant about children's safety. They help children to understand how to keep themselves safe, including taking care when walking on the stairs and watching out for their friends when they ride on bikes outside.
My son loves it here. He often doesn’t want to leave, he’s having such a wonderful time. He cares deeply for the staff in the pre-school room, Chloe, Paige and Lara who he talks fondly of regularly. He’s made lots of friends and the staff have supported and continued to support us throughout our potty training journey. They are also on hand to give advice around how we can work together to support our son at different stages. He eats most of his food and on days when he has his favourites he often asks for multiple servings.
Read on GoogleMy son joined the school at 1 years old. I can’t promote enough how wonderful and caring the team are from baby room to toddler room my son has thrived. I have seen him develop so quickly in just 12 months. Much thanks to the hard work of the lovely teachers guiding his development journey over the last year. The staff truly build great bonds with your child and it is comforting to know your child is in good hands. I would highly recommend the nursery to any of my contacts.

Read on GoogleMy daughter has been coming to Ashbourne Day nursery for nearly a year, since she was 11 months old, and she absolutely loves it. The nursery is a home away from home and there is a really loving, family atmosphere, which is what I wanted as my little girl goes there full time. There are so many different activities and the nursery always throws parties to celebrate special occasions. They also hold events that parents are invited to as well, which is lovely! All the staff are absolutely wonderful and go out of their way to make sure the children feel happy and have a fun filled day. They are also incredibly friendly and very understanding and accommodating to parents, and I am always kept up to date with my daughter’s progress and what she’s been up to at the end of each day. Ashbourne also have an app, which is regularly updated with photos and learning milestones. I went to look around a number of different nurseries in Hertford, but I am so glad I choose Ashbourne. My daughter has thrived here, and this is down to the care and attention of the staff. I couldn’t recommend it more.
Read on GoogleHighly recommend this nursery. The two Katie’s in particular have been wonderful with our daughter since she started. Gave us a brilliant tour and settling in sessions. Like all new starters our daughter was upset the first few days, now she jumps into their arms when I drop her off, which is all you need to know as a parent. The updates they give on the app are fantastic too. Great team at Ashbourne. Thank you and keep doing whatever you are doing! 👍👍👍
