Barking Riverside Nursery School in Barking provides care and education for children aged two to four. The day nursery is open from 7.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. An Ofsted inspection in April 2025 resulted in an overall judgement of 'Good'. The inspector found that managers and staff know the children well, which helps them to settle in smoothly, and that the day nursery has a strong focus on children's well-being and personal growth.

The curriculum is built on what children can already do and what they need to learn next, using feedback from parents and children. Children learn about the world through experiences like making fertilisers and exploring life cycles. Staff also teach children about different religions and traditions. According to Ofsted, parents value the information sharing and the support provided for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. To improve, the inspector suggested developing children's independence skills at mealtimes and allowing children more time to respond to questions.

Great place for kids. Managers and All Staff are very helpful in every way. Our Emily loves spending time in Nursery where every day looks different. She loves fun and above all delicious food. I highly recommend to all parents.

Great nursery and care for little ones and lots for them to play with and learn. Nice, clean, modern facilities too. Lovely and attentive staff. Also love that good hot food is made on site. Our boy enjoys attending.
