Inclusion & environment
Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), enjoy their learning in this warm, vibrant and friendly nursery. Staff strongly support children with SEND. They identify gaps in children's learning and development at an early stage through robust assessments and the good involvement of parents. Staff act promptly to secure the help that children need. They work very closely with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and inclusion and support teams, to help prepare children for their later learning.
Children regularly spend time outside engaged in meaningful physical activities. Children learn to control their movements, balance and jump as they play on climbing structures and obstacle courses.
We found Beech Hill some years ago after our original nursery placement fell through at very short notice - and I’m so happy it did! The staff work so hard to create a warm and happy community for the kids and families to be a part of. They even hosted a beech hill birthday party to celebrate its 30th year, which had a great turn out. Our LO is treated as an individual and the staff know their likes and dislikes, and how to successfully get them through the door on a wobbly morning. So happy we found it!
Read on GoogleThis nursery is a real gem: it is in a leafy area in a beautiful building with lovely outdoor play areas, has a fantastic range of toys, crafts etc for the kids to do, and amazingly warm and caring staff with very low staff turnover. Our three children have attended here and forged strong relationships with the staff and other children. It's got a wonderful family atmosphere for the children, positive and consistent communication with parents, and a feeling of community for the children's families, who are invited to take part in regular celebrations at the nursery every year. Highly recommend.
Read on GoogleMy daughter went to Beech Hill Nursery for 3.5 years after a recommendation from a friend and I cannot be happier we chose it. The staff genuinely show nothing but care and attention in a beautiful and incredibly well-equipped setting, providing a real family feel. It’s not run with money-making in mind like lots of other nurseries making it affordable but, more importantly, a safe, loving and happy setting. The lovely owner Audrey, who has run the nursery for 30 years now, has created a fantastic environment, so much so that many very experienced staff have been working there 10-20 years or more, which is really unique for a nursery. It’s a real hidden gem that I’m so grateful to have been told about and cannot recommend enough.
