Children thrive in a nurturing environment where independence and self-esteem are fostered through well-established routines and excellent sequential teaching. The curriculum is ambitious, well-structured, and creatively delivered, building on children's prior knowledge and embedding new learning.
The setting places a strong emphasis on developing children's motivation and curiosity, encouraging them to initiate their own investigations and providing guidance as needed. Children are highly confident, move freely between indoor and outdoor environments, and learn to keep themselves safe from a young age.
The pre-school also utilises a nearby playground to promote physical development. Leaders are commended for their clear vision, consulting with staff and parents to create tailored learning experiences.
The pre-school provides exceptional and personalised learning opportunities through differentiated teaching and high expectations for all children. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive outstanding support from a passionate and experienced coordinator, ensuring excellent progress.
Parent partnerships are strong, with parents feeling well-informed and appreciative of the diverse learning experiences offered, including visits to local places of worship and community buildings. The pre-school actively involves parents by utilising their occupations and skills to broaden children's awareness of the wider world.
Children are encouraged to be independent in their learning, with resources such as scissors readily available to refine fine motor skills and promote safety awareness. The transition to primary school is meticulously planned and exceptionally well-managed, equipping children with essential skills and knowledge.
Leaders are dedicated to staff professional development, resulting in a highly motivated team that delivers remarkable care and education, particularly in addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children's speech, language, mannerisms, and behaviours. Children with SEND have targeted plans, which are developed alongside parents and specialist outside agencies. As a result, they make excellent progress.
During outdoor play, children initiate their own investigations, such as looking for bugs. Children are highly confident as they move freely between the indoor and outdoor environments, and leaders utilise the nearby playground as often as possible to promote children's physical development.
