What parents say

They feel they have plenty of information about their children's day and praise how the setting manages specific needs, such as dietary requirements.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff know the needs of children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) well. They use this information to provide and adapt experiences to support their ongoing development. The SEND coordinator works closely with parents, staff and other professionals to thoroughly assess each child's needs.

Outdoor space

Staff and children from other rooms access the garden through the toddler room. They have to negotiate tables and other equipment, which sometimes distracts children.

My daughter started daycare at Boys and Girls Watford Nursery when she was just seven months old, and I can confidently say that the team has been absolutely amazing. They always listened to my feedback and addressed all my concerns with care and professionalism, which meant a lot to me as a first-time mum. Like all mums, I found it very hard initially to leave my little one at daycare. But over time, this nursery made me feel confident, reassured, and secure that my daughter was in safe and loving hands. The staff created such a warm and nurturing environment that my worries slowly turned into complete trust. Now that she has moved into the toddler room, I can clearly see how much she is learning and developing every day. She comes home happy, curious, and excited, which speaks volumes about the care and learning provided there. I’m so glad I chose this nursery for my little heart, and I truly look forward to continuing her journey here. I would highly recommend Boys and Girls Watford Nursery to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and enriching environment for their child.

Our daughter absolutely loves nursery and the staff that work in the nursery. She has been going to Boys & Girls nursery since she was 9 months old and we have seen a massive improvement in our daughter’s development over her time so far at the nursery and it is continuing now she is in pre-school. She has become a lot more confident in doing things herself and comes home each day telling us what she has done in the day and who she’s been with and all the food she has eaten! It is great knowing whilst she is at nursery she is in safe hands and you get updates via the nursery’s app with photos. The staff are all very approachable and friendly and make you feel so welcomed.

We are really pleased with how our son has settled into Boys and Girls nursery over his first month. As parents, we were naturally a little nervous at the beginning, but the staff have been incredibly warm, patient, and supportive. We really appreciate the daily updates from the nursery and the photo observations shared with us. It’s been so lovely to see snapshots of his activities and progress. We feel that the communication has been open and helpful, and we’ve always felt welcome to ask questions or raise anything. We’re really happy with how our son's first month has gone. A big thank you to Lucie, Mia and Maddie and to the rest of the whole team at Boys and Girls Watford for making this transition such a positive experience for him (and for us). We’re excited to see how he continues to grow over the next few months!

I've been very happy with the nursery staff since the beginning of interacting with them. They've been very helpful in answering any of our questions and have always been quick to reply. Our daughter is loving going there, built a strong relationship with the nursery staff and seem to be enjoying the food a lot. Fresh varied food is provided and she seems to be striving there.

We are very happy with Boys and Girls Nursery, and we thank you very much for all the good energy invested in our kids. You made us feel confident and have peace of mind that our child is in good hands daily, and that they are always taken care of. Anastasia always came with joy every day, the staff is amazing and caring, always respecting protocols, and our daughter grew and developed new and interesting skills with this team of teachers and management. We are very happy with our choice and we wish you all the best going further!
