Bright Horizons is a well-established childcare provider with over 300 nurseries across the UK, dedicated to offering comprehensive support for families navigating the challenges of daily life. The organisation emphasises a unique 'Nurture Approach' which integrates learning with emotional well-being, aiming to provide a holistic development journey for each child.
They focus on creating an environment where children feel secure, fostering strong relationships with dedicated practitioners. Beyond daily care, Bright Horizons offers extensive resources for parents, including guidance on childcare funding options and school readiness.
The nursery group is committed to safety, quality education through their Bright Beginnings Curriculum, and outdoor exploration. They also prioritise a seamless transition for children into nursery life through non-chargeable settling-in sessions, adapting to each child's individual needs and helping build a 'triangle of trust' between the child, parent, and key person.
Our ethos
At Bright Horizons, children are supported at every moment by dedicated, skilled, and caring grown-ups, our nursery practitioners. The Nurture Approach™ is central to life at our Nurseries. It brings together learning and emotional wellbeing as part of the same amazing growing-up journey. We are passionate about supporting families with the daily work-life juggle.

Inclusion & environment
Children who are funded and those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are provided with targeted support to help them to succeed to the best of their ability. For instance, quieter areas with sensory resources have been introduced, to support children to have time away from the busy environment.
Staff recognise the importance of children having access to the outdoors to build on their well-being and physical development. Older children have lots of space to run and jump and take calculated risks in their play.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough. The team that Marissa and Becca have put together is so caring and wonderful with our daughter. I really appreciate the observations and updates of our daughter’s activities that come through on the app. It’s so nice to see her having a great time with friends. Special mention to Lilly & Tania for the smooth transition from home to nursery life. And also to Bethan, Bronte and Jake for her transition to toddlers and making our little girl so excited for nursery everyday.
Read on GoogleWe recently started sending our baby to Bright Horizons, and he absolutely loves it! Even though it’s only been just over a month, he already gets so excited every time we arrive and see the staff. The whole team is so warm and welcoming, and the communication is excellent, food is great and they keep the app updated so frequently, which gives us such peace of mind. A huge thank you to Lilly, Tania, Skye, Marisa, and Becca for taking such wonderful care of him. We’re so grateful for all that you do, and honestly wish we could send him full-time!
Read on GoogleBrighton Horizons was first recommended by a friend who had registered their baby. As soon as we had a look around at one of their open days we fell in love with the nursery. It has a real homely feel which I love as I didn’t want my daughter to be at a nursery which had a more clinical setting. The staff are all so friendly and took a huge interest in our daughter and our little family. They have amazing outside space and take regular outings which I felt was so important for when my little girl starts in the new year. Since registering we have been attending their free baby sensory classes on Fridays that anyone can attend. It is such a relaxed but engaging space and my baby loves it each week. I really feel seeing the other babies has really helped her development. I couldn’t recommend it more and I can’t wait for my daughter to start soon.
Read on GoogleWe absolutely love Bright Horizons Hove Day Nursery! The building is beautiful, and the garden is amazing. The team is fantastic—personable, professional, and trustworthy. Our daughter has thrived over the past few years and has had so much fun along the way. They put so much thought and care into the activities they plan for the children. We couldn’t fault the nursery at all—they truly go above and beyond. A special shout-out to Becca, Bronte, Bethan, Charli, and Marisa for making this such a wonderful experience for both us as parents and our daughter.
Read on GoogleI’ve been using this nursery since 2013 when it was privately owned. Although the staff has changed over the years, my experience and more importantly, the care and influence that has been provided for my children has not. This is a brilliant nursery, the balance of home and family with business and education is perfect. My eldest who left 11 years ago has nothing but fond memories. My middle child who has recently turned four has been attending since she was 9 months and with both of my children I credit Bright Horizons. I know that this nursery brings with it both new learning and continued learning from home, such as potty training, stairs, letters and numbers to name a few. The Montessori mindset works wonders, and my children are always proud to show and share activities and learning they had done throughout the day. Equally any issue or question I have had, I know I can approach any member of staff, and have answers given readily. I hope for my newest addition to join the family soon and I ALWAYS recommend Bright Horizons.
