Bright Horizons operates approximately 300 nurseries and preschools across the UK, offering childcare solutions to families. They focus on a holistic approach to child development, encapsulated in their 'Nurture Approach', which prioritises both learning and emotional well-being.
The nurseries aim to provide a stimulating and happy environment where children are supported by trained and caring staff to reach their full potential. They offer a 'Bright Beginnings Curriculum' that incorporates five key learning areas to develop practical and life skills through engaging activities.
Food and mealtimes are given special attention, with freshly prepared meals catering to various dietary needs. The nursery group also emphasises outdoor learning and exploration through initiatives like Forest School and Eco-Schools.
They support families with the transition into nursery life through non-chargeable settling-in sessions, which can begin up to six weeks before a child's official start date, focusing on building strong relationships between the child, parents, and a dedicated Key Person. Bright Horizons also provides resources and guidance on childcare funding options available from the UK government.

Avoid bright horizons at all costs. We had our daughter there and I regret it so much, every time I would pick her up she would always be so sad and I would often find her in the corner by herself. With the latest news about bright horizons Finchley I wouldn’t trust this place at all with any children. They’re a business that cares about money and nothing else. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Read on GoogleAttended: Jul 2017 - Summer 2019 Child Age: Years 1 - 3 Review: We started off at a Bright Horizons nursery in Cambridge when our daughter was 6 months old. We relocated to London and decided to stick with the Bright Horizons brand because we liked the structure. At both nurseries we felt confident that our daughter is safe, well looked after, in a happy and healthy environment. At years 1-3 kids should really be playing and having fun, but they also prepared her well for school with counting, the alphabet, writing mechanics, and so much more. The staff were wonderful and very accomodating for half days, late arrivals, etc... There is not enough space for write all the positives. I highly recommend this nursery for working parents who need dayminders 8 to 6, 5 days a week. Thank you to the staff for all the love and care you've given our daughter.
Read on GoogleThe nursery is very clean with large outdoor space. The management team is friendly & supportive. In the classrooms equipments & resources are well kept and organised. The staff is dedicated and disciplined. I would highly recommend to families! 💐
Read on GoogleOur daughter loves attending the nursery. She’s made some great friends in the staff and the other children. They’re always doing something fun. Everyone is so friendly and we’re always greeted with a smile. Highly recommend!
Read on GoogleUnfortunately a massive let down for us. Back in April 2021 we filled the form and did a tour asking if there was space for our son in January 2022. The lady that showed us around confirmed and told us we were the first on the list. We just discovered by chance that actually the management is new, none of the people we spoke to are there, and that actually there is no space untill September 2022 spaceuntill September
