Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), show positive attitudes towards their learning, make good progress and are ready for their next stages in learning. Children who receive additional funding, particularly those with SEND are well supported. Management use funding with flexibility to meet individual children's needs. Staff are skilled in identifying additional needs early. They then work effectively with a range of professionals to ensure that all children make the best possible progress.

Outdoor space

Staff do not always effectively provide experiences that consistently promote learning for children who prefer to play and learn outdoors.

Nearly at the end of my little boy’s nursery journey, and I honestly cannot recommend Building Blocks enough. It’s the most fantastic place I could have ever wished for for him. When Teddy first started, he was frustrated and unable to speak, now he’s thriving, and I can’t thank the amazing girls there enough. They’ve truly gone above and beyond for him. My little girl is now there too at 18 months old, and she’s receiving the exact same level of care, love, and attention. I honestly can’t put into words how incredible they’ve been with both my babies. Thank you so, so much, without a doubt, the best nursery in Heywood! 💛

Where to even begin, first I’d just like to say this is honestly the best nursery by far in Heywood, and I wish I would have put my son in here as a baby up until he leaves for school, my son started building blocks at 2 year old and I can not thank them enough for there incredible staff and environment for the children there especially there caring and compassion towards the children, my son has come on leaps and bounds through the last two years here and absolutely adores coming he only wishes he could live there as he says, but you can not fault the place one bit they have the best staff for learning your little ones ready for school to hitting all the milestones they need to before age 3, and not to mention there has been times when my son has been unwell and the love and compassion was just incredible from the staff, the managers are just as amazing and set a fantastic example of leadership and support parents throughout anything, even if it’s just a normal day chat you can’t fault a single thing they do at building blocks, it is a fantastic nursery and I am honestly devastated my son has to leave and go to primary school as they really have made an impact on his life, my daughter will be going here when she’s old enough as like I’ve said it is honestly the best place for your children 🫶🏻

Not sure what Sadi is on about, this is a truly amazing nursery. The level of care they gave our son was humbling, and the amount of assistance they gave us was exceptional. Honestly chatting on absolute drivel if you think the ladies are anything short of five star.
