About this day nursery
30pm on weekdays. The day nursery re-registered in 2009 and is located in the grounds of Nonsuch High School in Cheam, Sutton.
Staff provide a welcoming and inviting environment, fostering strong bonds with the children. The curriculum is designed to build on children's interests and skills, with staff confidently sharing identified next steps in learning.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive good support, with staff demonstrating a secure knowledge of individual educational plans and collaborating with parents and professionals. All children benefit from a well-equipped outdoor play area that provides shelter and shade, where older children enjoy activities such as obstacle courses and digging in sand trays.
Babies explore textures and apparatus, developing coordination and physical skills. The day nursery was rated as 'Good' by Ofsted in its latest inspection on 24th July 2024, and parents are very complimentary about the staff and the care their children receive, appreciating the online parent apps that keep them informed and offer activity ideas for home.

How they support every child
SEND provision
Careful monitoring by staff ensures every child makes good progress from their starting points and any gaps in learning are swiftly identified. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive good support from staff, who demonstrate a secure knowledge of any individual educational plans and education, health and care plans and how to implement them. Managers and staff work closely with parents and other professionals to provide any extra support needed.
Outdoor space
All children benefit from a well-equipped outside play area that provides plenty of shelter and shade. Older children enjoy negotiating obstacle courses, digging in the sand trays and pouring water using various containers. Staff use these activities well to build on children's skills and extend their knowledge, such as learning to manoeuvre over equipment safely and matching letters as they dig blocks out of soil.

We've had some mixed experiences at this nursery. While our child made progress—his pen grip improved and he started to eat a bit more, which we were thrilled about—there were some key areas that needed attention. The main concern for us was the hygiene. We often noticed our child's nose was not cleaned, even after we raised the issue. He also frequently came home in dirty clothes, as his outfit wasn't changed after lunch. We also would have appreciated more detailed feedback at pickup. The information we received was often brief and didn't give us a clear picture of his day.

My daughter absolutely loves the nursery. She is always looking forward to her day at nursery. The staff is very friendly and is always there to help if there are any concerns related to your child development. They did a great job at helping getting my daughter off nappies and bottles 😄

What a lovely Nursery. My son has been at this setting now for over a year and has been in both the Bumbles and Buzz rooms. Staff in both rooms are excellent. Whenever there is an issue, the Nursery Director is always on hand to listen, provide reassurance and solutions. Our Key Worker is EXCEPTIONAL and we are very lucky to have her. She works in close partnership with us and makes us feel as though she wants nothing but the best for our child. I would highly recommend this nursery.

This was the best thing I could ever do for my daughter. She had improved and grown so much just by going to the nursery. The staff is amazing, they work with the children and teach them how to be independent. They are incredible, all so creative, wonderful, helpful and kind - it feels like they are part of your family and your children are going to a second home the environment is perfect. I honestly don't think it could be any better. Many thanks from the heart for all your hard work, love, dedication, patience to the children.

My Daughter goes to the Busy Bees nursery in Cheam, Nonsuch and absolutely loves it there. The staff are lovely and I have seen such growth in my daughter. She is so much more confident and independent since starting there. The staff always make sure that I know what she has done through the day, sharing pictures of activities and what she has eaten through the day. I would highly recommend the nursery to any parents wanting to give their children a home away from home.
