Busy Bees at Sandy, established in 2017, offers childcare for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery operates from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, all year round, closing only for bank holidays.
Children at Busy Bees at Sandy thoroughly enjoy their time, benefiting from staff who support their social and emotional development exceptionally well, fostering a strong sense of security. The nursery places a strong emphasis on physical development, providing engaging activities both indoors and outdoors to help children understand risks and their own physical abilities.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive good support, with staff working closely with parents and other agencies to ensure good progress from their starting points. The nursery has maintained a stable and secure environment for children to flourish, even after recent staffing changes.
Leaders have a clear understanding of the quality of the nursery and a continuous development plan to enhance staff skills. Strong partnerships between staff and parents, built on mutual trust, ensure that children's needs are met and their learning is supported both at nursery and at home.
Staff know the children well, making accurate assessments of their development and planning engaging and enjoyable experiences. They also underpin the curriculum by focusing on communication and language development, consistently engaging children in conversation and helping them learn through music.

They implement the agreed strategies and follow children's learning closely. This helps these children make good progress from their starting points.
There is a strong focus on children's physical development. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
I’m super thankful for all the amazing support I get during tough times. Lilith has such a blast with the fantastic staff and friends at nursery! She loves telling me all about her new skills and the fun adventures she has there, and it just makes my heart smile! there, and it just makes my heart smile!

His key person in Bombos 1 and now his key person in Bombos 2 are both incredibly attentive, know my son incredibly well, have built a strong relationship with him and plan and facilitate engaging activities that tap into his interests and give him an opportunity to develop.
