Cannot fault the staff they are so friendly and helpful. My son has developed so much since starting here. I don’t want him to leave in September for school

My son started at this nursery when he was 10 months old and I took him out as soon as I was able to secure a place elsewhere around 6 months later. From the first settle, his needs came second to the rigid parameters of the nursery. There were a large number of children in his room cared for by well meaning, but stretched and, sometimes, visibly frazzled staff. From the start, I never got the impression the nursery cared about him as an individual child. They wouldn't accommodate his nap schedule, which was simply two naps a day. He often came home distraught with tiredness and mouth sticky from thirst. I fed back all of this at the time, but nothing changed. They were also always looking for reasons to send him home, which meant I never felt secure to focus on my work day. Taken together, I felt anxious every day about having to leave him there and about whether I'd have to dash back to collect him. Things couldn't be more different in his new setting. Brilliant, flexible, genuinely caring nurseries do exist. This experience tells me this isn't one of them.

Me and my wife are really sad to be leaving the nursery after nearly two years of my son being there. The only reason for this is my wife is now finishing work to have our second child. Our son Jack started at 9 months old and at the time we looked around at several nurseries but it was an easy decision to go with Busy Bees. From our first meeting, we loved their approach and passion and we felt we could put our trust in them. They have paid back our trust tenfold with their love and hard work with Jack. When Jack first started at the nursery he would hysterically cry and try to not let you drop him off, now he runs from the car park and can’t wait to have breakfast with his friends! The girls who work there are all lovely, friendly, professional, welcoming and helpful and we could not recommend them highly enough.

Busy Bees has provided a safe, supportive environment for my two sons, from when they first started there as babies right through to the age of four. The staff are friendly, caring and always professional - dealing admirably with all the challenges posed by Covid. I could not have wished for a better start in life for my boys and always recommend Busy Bees to friends looking for potential nurseries in Chelmsford.

The nursery has been amazing so far getting my toddler settled into new environment, routine and other children in this difficult time during the pandemic. Everything is child led and accommodating. My child is very fond of her key person too!
