Butterflies Childcare, located in Wimbledon, SW19 3SB, is a dedicated nursery and preschool that nurtures children from infancy through to their preschool years across two distinct sites. The setting at 20 Beulah Road caters specifically to babies and toddlers under two, while 3 Beulah Road offers a spacious, open-plan environment for children aged two to five.
Committed to providing a foundation for lifelong learning, Butterflies integrates the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework into its curriculum, focusing on the crucial first five years of a child's development. The nursery emphasises a structured daily routine, ensuring consistency in care, and provides freshly prepared, nutritious meals daily.
Beyond academic and developmental support, the staff, who hold professional childcare qualifications ranging from NVQ Level 3 to Early Years Teacher Status, facilitate outdoor learning experiences, including visits to Dundonald Park, and prepare children for a smooth transition to primary school through a bespoke programme that includes visits to local schools. Parent participation is highly valued, recognising parents as the child's primary educators, fostering a collaborative approach to learning and development.

We have reluctantly had to move our daughter from Butterflies due to travelling distance/logistics. It was a real wrench as she absolutely loved it there. She had so much fun with her friends, enjoyed all the planned activities, formed real bonds with the lovely warm staff, and came home with a smile on her face every evening. The commitment to care and attention is first rate. The extended opening hours are a bonus. I would recommend Butterflies to anyone. Thank you for all you have done for our daughter.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been attending butterflies since she was 8 months old, when I returned back to work from maternity leave. We felt incredibly comfortable leaving her with the staff who are all so loving and caring towards my daughter. She is now 2 and is still attending butterflies and she loves every minute of being at nursery, she can not say goodbye fast enough in the mornings before running in to play with her friends. She is always talking about her teachers and Grace the chef at home and loves to role play being a teacher to her teddies which shows how much she loves her nursery. We also love the nurseries online system which allows us to log on and see new photos and videos of the activities our daughter has been getting up at nursery every week. I would highly recommend this nursery for your little one.
Read on GoogleMy son attended Butterflies Nursery from the age of 10 months and my wife and I could not have been happier with the way he was looked after. His dietary requirements were more than satisfied by Grace, possibly the ‘friendliest chef’ I’ve ever met. The team were incredibly caring, considerate and flexible with our needs and my son was truly happy being in the care of Butterflies. If we ever move back to Wimbledon or are asked to suggest a nursery I could not recommend enough Butterflies. Thank you Nicole, Bibi and Shubhangi for making a difficult time easy for us, your hard work, dedication and devotion to the job is genuinely recognised!
Read on GoogleWhat a pleasure! My son attended for 3 years before starting primary school and absolutely thrived, my daughter attended for 6 weeks between my maternity leave and us moving out of London and adored it. It was also great to see my son's friends siblings at the nursery, I wish we could have moved Butterflies with us! They know what they're doing and gave us great peace of mind when I returned to work, thank you!
