How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress. The procedures in place to support children with SEND are well established. Experienced staff promptly identify when children require additional assistance with their learning and provide targeted support. Leaders promptly refer to other services and provide support for children while they wait for their assessment, which has a positive impact on helping all children reach their full potential.

Outdoor space

Children enjoy fresh air and exercise in the garden. They mix and dig in the sand, count dots on wooden slices and grow fruit and vegetables. Children use their imagination to pretend they are building a race car with toy tools and large construction blocks.

My daughter has recently started at Buttsbury pre-school and has had a great first few sessions. She's is a real mummy's girl and doesn't warm to people easily. Her key worker and the managers put in place strategies to help her settle and really took the time to get to know my her. I'm so grateful to them for making the transition easier for my daughter (and me)!

My Daughter Grace absolutely loved every second of the 2 years that she attended Buttsbury Pre-School. We never had 1 single day that she didn’t want to go in, and asked to do more days, she ran in on her first day and never looked back and that continued right up until her last day! and that is a testament to how much she enjoyed it, was cared for and how happy she was there. As a parent I couldn’t have wished for more and feel very lucky that she was able to attend such a wonderful setting before starting big school! Thank you to all the lovely staff there! especially Mrs Crosby, whom Grace still talks about regularly! x

My little girl joined Buttsbury preschool this September and I am so glad we made the move. She is an introvert and with any change it takes her a while to adjust, but this has been managed thoughtfully and carefully. We enjoy hearing about her day - the slides, sandpit, books and stories from teachers. We are looking forward to seeing her confidence grow further.

My eldest son attended the preschool and now my youngest goes there. Both boys have thrived in this preschool thanks to the amazing and caring teachers and lovely facilities. So many different play areas for all interests and everything is clean and organised. From the moment you step into this preschool you know this is a special place. My eldest was more than prepared to start Reception after being at Buttsbury Preschool and I know this confidence was a result of the hard work and attention Mrs. Crosby and Mrs. Woodman and the rest of the staff give to each child.

My daughter attended Buttsbury Pre-School and had the best time while she was there. The staff are truly fantastic and really care about the children and their education. They picked up on an issue with my daughter's eyesight before we as parents had even realised there was something wrong. We are eternally grateful to them for that. They gave her the best start to her school life and made the transition to infant school a smooth one. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the pre-school and can't wait for my other daughter to attend.
