Carealot Day Nursery in Chelmsford provides care for children aged from one to four years. It is open from Monday to Friday all year round, with various sessions available between 8am and 6pm. In its inspection of September 2022, Ofsted rated the day nursery as Good. The inspector found that children are happy and feel secure, supported by a well-established key-person system. Parents reported to the inspector that staff are caring and friendly.
Staff plan a broad curriculum that follows children's interests and prepares them for school. The outdoor area includes a climbing frame, balancing beams, and a see-saw for children to develop their physical skills. The management team observes staff practice to help improve their skills. To improve, Ofsted recommended that the nursery extend opportunities for all children to build on their communication skills and more consistently share information about children's next steps with parents.

However, staff recognise that the level of support currently in place does not help all children to communicate effectively, particularly those learning English as an additional language and those with additional needs. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Outdoor space
Children particularly enjoy being outside, where they have plenty of opportunities to develop their physical skills. For example, they play on the climbing frame, carefully walk across the balancing beams, and energetically push themselves up and down on the see-saw.

Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better nursery. Had never left my little girl before getting her to come here and we never had any tears or anything where she just loves it so much. She gets so excited to go and is so sad to be leaving for school. I cannot put into words how grateful I am to each and every one of you for looking after her and making everytime a fun one. Cannot reccomend enough xx

Messed around after agreeing on times and days called to make arrangements to pay first month and was spoken to Rudely , questioned , criticised, told what’s what and hanged up on. So upset by this I have written a letter to MP as UnaBle to find another nusery in time and definitely won’t send my child here.
