Inclusion & environment
The management team has sound expectations for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Staff observe and assess children's learning accurately and make prompt referrals to agencies where necessary to help children make notable progress.
Staff ensure children are always within sight and hearing during outdoor play to minimise accidents, and encourage gross motor skills such as running and hopping. The management team has identified a desire to develop outdoor resources to better support children who prefer to play in the natural environment.
Children who speak English as an additional language are beginning to engage in conversation and use a wider range of vocabulary.
