Casson Fold Day Nursery, rated Good by Ofsted on 12 January 2023, operates as a childcare setting on non-domestic premises, offering provision for children aged 0-4 years. 30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, for 51 weeks of the year, closing only for bank holidays.

Children quickly settle into the nursery environment as staff are attentive to their individual needs, fostering a sense of security and encouraging them to thrive. A core focus of the curriculum is supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development, with children forming strong bonds with their key persons.

The curriculum is thoughtfully planned, utilising children's interests to guide a variety of learning activities. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive strong support, thanks to an experienced and knowledgeable SENDCo who collaborates closely with parents, staff, and other professionals to ensure they make excellent progress.

Daily outdoor access is provided to support physical development and well-being, though the outdoor curriculum for younger children is identified as an area for further development, specifically in offering more physical opportunities and experiences with the natural world. Staff actively promote healthy practices, including providing nutritious meals and snacks and teaching children about handwashing and self-serving food.

Parents consistently praise the nursery, highlighting the strong community feel and the staff's exceptional efforts, including effective communication through an electronic app.
