How they support every child

SEND provision

Children who receive additional funding are provided books to use at home and given extra days in the setting to help them make more progress. Children who need extra help are well supported and have every opportunity to succeed; small groups allow children to receive additional support and focus on specific needs. Leaders train staff to ensure they know how to get funding for the children who need it the most, and staff work well with other agencies to identify clear areas of support for children.

Outdoor space

Children play outside daily. They climb and take risks safely, having opportunities to practise their physical skills.

We couldn’t be happier with this preschool. The teachers are warm, attentive, and truly care about our child’s development. It has been nurturing, and engaging, helping our child grow in confidence and curiosity every day. An excellent preschool that we highly recommend to any family.

Amazing nursery with kind, professional staff who genuinely care about the children. My daughter settled in quickly and absolutely loves coming here. Communication is excellent, the environment is safe and welcoming, and activities are always engaging. Highly recommended.

My daughter attend Charnwood Preschool just before she turned 3 - I couldnt have wished for a better preschool. I have never known a preschool to be so involved in the community & our natural world. My daughter was settled and had a great bond with all staff. She has since moved on to primary school and often talks about preschool and her old key worker Ellie. 💚

Both my children have had an incredible start to their early years journey at Charnwood Mountsorrel. They especially enjoyed their forest school experiences and still talk about them now. All the staff at Mountsorrel are so attentive to the children and my children had incredible bonds with Beth and Ellie thank you ladies!

My daughter had an amazing couple of years at Charnwood pre school. She had so many opportunities to learn indoors and outdoors. They really get involved in the local community with regular photos and updates about what they are learning. The team are so caring and passionate about what they do and each individual child. They supported us with milestones that needed a bit more time working on. The pre school is open term time only but children can go to one of their other local pre schools in the holidays too, this is always a good option to know as well. I am so glad I chose Charnwood pre school my daughter is now settled well into school.
