Opening hours
7.30am until 6pm, Monday to Friday
30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and has been established since 2016. This welcoming setting caters for children aged 0-11 years, providing a nurturing 'home-from-home' environment where children quickly settle and form secure attachments with staff.
The nursery prides itself on its ambitious curriculum, designed to foster excellent levels of independence in children. Individual routines are followed, and a calming, supportive atmosphere is maintained, with low-level resources encouraging self-selection during play.
Children are taught good hygiene practices, including handwashing, and enjoy social mealtimes where they learn to serve themselves and assist with tasks. The nursery has a strong focus on promoting communication and language skills, incorporating sign language sessions and regular singing and storytelling.
The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) actively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Outdoor learning is a key feature, with children developing excellent physical skills as they navigate obstacle courses in the nursery garden, demonstrating confidence on tyres, crates, and climbing frames.
The manager is approachable and supportive of both staff and families, fostering strong partnerships with parents through regular updates, observations, and celebratory events. A lending library is also available to encourage reading at home.
This commitment to a holistic and well-rounded early years experience contributed to its 'Good' overall rating from Ofsted in April 2023.

The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Children demonstrate excellent physical skills. They ask others to watch as they climb, balance and coordinate their movements across tricky obstacle courses in the nursery garden. They proudly show others how quickly they can manoeuvre over the tyres, crates and climbing frame.
My son has been attending this nursery for over two years, he started in the toddler room and progressed to the pre school room. I can honestly say, in the whole time he has been in this nursery I haven’t worried about him. I had full confidence in ALL staff members here. (Special thanks to Hannah, Gemma, Kiera, Anna and Gail) Originally we chose another nursery in the area which didn’t come close to competing with Childrens corner. Thanks guys, you made my sons first few years magic, and I couldn’t recommend you enough :)
Read on GoogleMy children have attended this nursery setting for 6.5 years, firstly in the nursery, now attending after school club. I have always found the staff to be flexible, helpful and very child orientated. They listen to feedback and I have always felt my children to be in safe hands.
Read on GoogleAll three of my children have gone to this fantastic nursery. When I started my journey as working parent I had major Mum guilt as to leaving my child to go to work. 10 years and 3 children later I feel that Children's Corner has enhanced my children's lives and been an important factor in the smooth and confident transition to school. All the staff and the owner Lesley have gone over and above to care for not only our children but our whole family when we've been through difficult times. I recommend this nursey over and over and am a little bit sad that our family's nursery journey is over. I couldn't have hoped for a better place to send me children. Thank you.x
Read on GoogleOur 12month old son recently started at Valley View Children's Corner, after visiting the nursery many months ago it seems to have a lovely welcoming feel about it and many positives including being outstanding with Ofsted. Our son had some transition visits, staff were very supportive and gave you time to ask questions as well as taking note of everything they needed. Our son has completed 4 full days at nursery and although we were worried about his eating habits and sleeping because he's breastfed, he has adapted extremely well with the dedicated supportive staff and has been eating meals and sleeping even in a bouncer which he would never do at home! The staff have been willing to tell me how he is if I've rung up to ask which is really reassuring. The nursery is clean and bright, with lots of play opportunities for our son to have as well as being able to socialise with peers of his age and the older children at times. We also liked the fact they promoted Makaton and provide home cooked meals and offer hair cutting and shoe fitting services. So far so good with our experience of Valley View and would recommend, we hope that our son will continue to enjoy his time at nursery and develop well with great staff and opportunities provided for him.

The girls are so lovely and you can tell they genuinely care for the children. The nursery itself is lovely lots of space to play, lots of windows to see outside and they outdoor play area is great. 10/10 from us xx
