Inclusion & environment
Children spend a lot of time in the large outdoor area, getting plenty of exercise and playing games which encourage an understanding of early mathematics. They show awareness of their own safety, for example as they put on helmets before riding bikes and scooters, and have plenty of fun outdoors.
Cornerstone Nursery has been an exceptional place for my son’s early learning and development. The team provides a perfect balance of care, structure, and fun. Communication with parents is excellent, and it’s clear how much thought goes into every activity and meal plan. The staff create such a nurturing, safe environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. I couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend Cornerstone to any parent looking for high-quality childcare.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has a rare genetic condition so I was really conflicted about sending her to nursery. From the first visit every member of staff I have interacted with has been lovely and they have gone above and beyond to not just accommodate her but to make her feel included and cared for. She is making great progress and really exploring her independence. I cannot thank everyone enough for everything they are doing to support us on this journey. She loves going to nursery! I highly recommend cornerstones, it the best decision we have made for her!
Read on GoogleLove this nursery. My son, now 2, has been there over a year and has been in 2 rooms now. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The nursery has been very flexible with us. All the rooms are very clean, nice toys and there’s always a new focus or sensory task or game the kids are infield with. You can tell that my son’s carers love their job and care about his development. I’m so happy with Cornerstone that we’re sending our baby girl there when she turns one and I go back to work!
Read on GoogleI love Cornerstone for my daughter, she is thriving under their care. Care being the operative word. It is clear that all the staff from the Managers to Carol the lovely cleaner all love the children under their care. The menu is varied and nutritious with healthy snacks as well as a little daily treat/dessert. The rooms are large with so much to do and beautifully put together by the staff. I'm so pleased I chose Cornerstone for my daughter's early years. I could spend all day talking about the patio areas and gardens with their scooters, bikes and water play. Plus all the natural play equipment and the imaginative way they use everyday items. Then there is the big hall where they have dance parties, carnivals and graduations and spend time with other classes, learning from each other. The carers keep me up to date with phone calls, chats and drop off and pick up, on top of Tapestry which tracks her food, learning and where they upload photos of her and her class. The fact she has somewhere secure and nurturing to spend essentially the first 3/4 years of her life makes me feel reassured and comfortable. Book a visit and see for yourself.
Read on GoogleMy son is leaving for school soon and he absolutely loves Cornerstone Nursery at Priestly Road and will miss his friends and the staff dearly. The staff have been brilliant with him. They have supported his interests and learning from when he was a baby. They are able to balance his play and learning and they are never too busy to have a chat about a topic he is interested in. I have watched his confidence and independence grow in leaps and bounds from year to year. My daughter is also enjoying her time at the nursery, making friends and being supported to learn and become more independent.
