Our ethos

Our nursery is built on a foundation of LOVE and we are particularly proud of our open plan spaces where children can explore the whole of the nursery and make relationships across the age ranges. Our curriculum goals are what we intend for our children to achieve during their time with us. We believe these goals are fundamental in providing the foundations for children to continue to thrive beyond their time at nursery, as they find their place in the wider world. We achieve these goals through providing safety, security, warmth and love and from this secure base children can: LOVE themselves LOVE themselves – through developing a strong sense of self-worth, being proud of their achievements and learning to recognise and regulate their emotions. LOVE each other LOVE each other – through building friendships, respecting differences, and caring for others both at nursery and in their wider community. LOVE their environment LOVE their environment – through developing sustainable and healthy habits at a young age, respecting both their physical and natural surroundings, and challenging practices that may be harmful to the environment.

Country Pumpkins is probably the best thing that could have happened to us in terms of our experience with a nursery. Before this, we tried another nursery near Worcester and also visited several others to see how they interacted with children. But what we found here exceeded even our dreams. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to supporting each child’s development in the best possible way. When we arrived in England, our daughter was 2 years old and had minimal English. She wasn’t speaking at all. The staff did everything they could to develop her English, which has now become her dominant language as she is bilingual. The nursery’s program is exceptional. It is an outdoor-focused nursery where children explore freely, safely, and under adult supervision. They enjoyed many walks to the Pumpkin Patch, Forest School, and playground, as well as story times. Activities were varied and engaging, encouraging sensory experiences and all kinds of development. The results we see in our daughter speak for themselves. She has grown confident, kind, independent, creative, and expressive. She jokes, experiments, and is open to new experiences. We know that this growth is a direct result of the dedication of the nursery and all the amazing educators there. A huge thank you to the organization, leadership, administration, and every teacher at Country Pumpkins Nursery. We see your hard work and the wonderful results it brings, and we wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to everyone.
