Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff make good use of picture cards, especially in the toddler room, to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They use these to help children to understand what is happening next with routines and to ask them what they wish to play with. Staff work closely with parents and other agencies to further support children's development.

Outdoor space

Staff teach children about their own safety by having them ride bicycles around the garden. They talk to children about traffic lights and what to do when the colors change, helping children learn colors and what to do when they see them.

My daughter is with Daffodils, Norbury Avenue branch almost 3 years and she will be off to pre-school in September. The Daffodils family has been a breathe of fresh air to our parenting, the immense support and family community built is priceless. Potty-training became a walk in the park because of the support and education that they provided us. It is very evident that all the children are very happy and well taken care of, they are always clean, smiling and playing together. I am saddened that I will not have the daily morning and evening chats at the door with the lovely staff after the summer. My daughter refers to the staff as aunties and she has so much love and respect for them, they make her feel special as they do with all the kids that are in their care. Home away from Home, Family Connections cemented.

Fantastic nursery. Both my boys have gone here. The Manager is amazing and really focussed on the children. Staff are very friendly, warm, caring and polite. It's a great place for your children. I never once worried when I dropped my children off.

Are the parents aware that the kids are sprayed with water when they “misbehave”? Where does it teach that in EYFS? Don’t scare or punish a child into not doing a behaviour, redirect them and figure out what is the unmet need.
