About this day nursery

Dinotots Daycare, nestled within a historic former Barclays Bank building in Blyth town centre, offers a calm and nurturing environment for children aged 0 to 11. The nursery prides itself on creating a home-from-home atmosphere where children can grow, develop independence, and gain confidence.

The dedicated, child-centred team guides children through age-appropriate activities and structured play, preparing them for their eventual transition to school. Dinotots Daycare provides full-time and part-time care, featuring a separate baby room and sleep room, as well as a fully equipped sensory room.

They also offer a unique "Happiness Guarantee" for new parents, allowing cancellation within 14 days with a refund if the child doesn't settle. The nursery emphasises freshly prepared, nutritious meals cooked on-site, with children encouraged to participate in setting and clearing tables to foster independence and social skills.

They implement the Curiosity Approach in their rooms, inspiring exploration and deep learning.

Our ethos

By using the Curiosity Approach within our nurseries we are truly able to offer a natural home-from-home experience. This approach, and accreditation, builds on well known and established early years theorists, such as Reggio, Steiner, Te Whāriki and Montessori, in providing children with an environment, experiences, activities and resources which foster their in-built need to explore, try things out and engage in a high level of sustained shared thinking.

What it's like

Staff create a warm, welcoming environment for children and their parents. Children demonstrate that they feel happy and secure as they enter their rooms with enthusiasm. Staff have effective settling-in visits that build over time to help children make a smooth transition from home to the nursery.
