About this day nursery

Discovery Childcare, established in 2019, provides a welcoming and nurturing environment for children aged 0-4 years. 30pm, the nursery focuses on promoting learning and development through various engaging experiences.

The manager and staff are particularly attuned to the needs of children, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, implementing gradual settling-in sessions for babies. Children at Discovery Childcare form strong bonds with their key persons and are encouraged to explore, dream, and discover nature.

The curriculum emphasises challenging experiences that build on children's existing knowledge and interests, with staff proactively seeking early support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), working closely with parents and other professionals to create individual support plans. Children enjoy imaginative outdoor play, like creating a "dragon" with diverse resources, and participate in national gardening projects, learning about healthy food sources.

The nursery received a "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on June 24, 2021, reflecting its commitment to providing a positive and supportive early years experience, though communication regarding early language development with the youngest children is an area identified for further enhancement.
