About this day nursery

Doodle Do Day Nursery, registered in 2018, is a childcare setting for children aged 1 to 4 years located in Bishop's Stortford. The nursery operates during term-time, from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

The setting has a strong focus on children's development, encouraging them to become strong, independent, and resilient through building positive relationships. Staff are dedicated to developing children's curiosity through sensory play, and children are confident communicators, engaging in conversations and showing good understanding of turn-taking and listening.

The nursery provides funded early education for two-, three-, and four-year-old children and supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities by working with other professionals when necessary. We had a rather negative experience with Doodle Do. In the lead-up to our move to the area, we were told numerous times that there was space for our toddler to attend four full week days. We asked if we could pay a deposit to secure her spot, but we were given several strong assurances that there'd be space and that a deposit wouldn't be necessary. Just over a week before our toddler was due to start, we were shown around the nursery and, again, told that there was space. Then when we submitted our registration form - a couple of days before our move/before our toddler was due to start - we were told they'd filled up all their spaces and only had a morning/afternoon available. We were completely thrown for a loop and, to this day, we haven't been able to find alternative nursery arrangements that are compatible with our full-time working patterns. Doodle Do's ineffective and inefficient administration has caused us to experience an enormous amount of stress so, unfortunately, I cannot recommend them.

Wonderful nursery, lovely staff organising very creative and stimulating indoors and outdoors activities. Yummy food, my son often repeats!! It feels like home for him, he is sooo well looked after and always delighted to go in!!

extremely unhappy with our experience with this nursery and would not recommend it... from the start we made it clear that we were apply for the government funding hours.. paid £50 for the registration and £200 deposit... my daughter was due to start this month and we only received the paper work late December when we asked if there were funding spaces available we were told that all the funding spaces fully booked to September even tho the nursery knew our intentions from the start... now im unable to send my daughter to nursery because we cannot afford the fees and we've have lots £250 in the process..
