Dot's Tots Day Nursery Limited, established in 2022, operates year-round from 7:30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, catering to children aged 1 to 4 years. The nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 28th November 2024.

Leaders ensure staff have a good understanding of the early years foundation stage curriculum, benefiting all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), who make good progress. The setting works closely with outside agencies to provide an inclusive curriculum for children with SEND, though the inspection noted that support plans from health professionals for children with communication and language difficulties are not consistently followed.

Children at Dot's Tots transition easily from parents, happily exploring and learning in a well-organised and stimulating environment. Older children have the opportunity to engage in forest school activities, fostering an understanding of nature by watering plants and digging for worms.

Staff focus on building secure relationships, particularly with babies, encouraging language development through interactions and songs. Leaders and staff have effectively improved safeguarding arrangements and children's participation and engagement in activities, ensuring a good balance between learning through play and direct teaching.

Leaders have ensured that all staff now have a good understanding of the early years foundation stage curriculum. All children, including those who have been identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), benefit from the curriculum offerings and make good progress in their learning. Children separate from their parents with ease once they arrive at the setting, feeling happy to explore and learn.
