About this day nursery

Doves View Day Nursery, located in Northampton, provides a welcoming, calm, and homely environment where children aged 1 to 4 years thrive. The day nursery operates Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 18:00, offering consistent support for families.

The inspector noted the nurturing atmosphere, where staff considerately meet children's needs through attentive and responsive interactions, leading children to feel safe and secure as they greet staff with enthusiasm. The curriculum is ambitious and builds effectively on what children already know and can do, with purposeful learning experiences that enhance their development.

Children are active all day, freely using the outdoor areas for climbing, running, balancing, and exploring the mud kitchen, fostering physical skills and imaginative play. Leaders are highly proactive in identifying and supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

They use effective assessment to recognise individual needs and gaps in learning, implementing individual learning plans and working closely with external professionals like speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, and Portage workers. This coordinated approach strengthens children's development and ensures they make the best possible progress.

Children develop warm friendships, secure social skills, and become increasingly independent and confident through clear and consistent daily routines. The overall provision is judged to be of a strong standard in Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines, Children's Welfare and Wellbeing, and Inclusion, with Achievement, Curriculum and Teaching, and Leadership and Governance meeting the expected standard, ensuring children are well-prepared for their next stage in learning.

Dove’s View is the best nursery ever. I’ve sent my children to a couple around Northamptonshire, Doves View has by far offered my children the happiest & most nurturing setting to be in. All the staff are so professional, attentive & warm towards the children, the food and lunches they make fresh for the children daily are exceptional & my son is always so full of life on his way home after every session. They’ve given me the best and most positive experience as a parent. They’ll always be my top recommendation for a nursery in Northampton! Thank you Doves View!
