Farmyard Friends Day Nursery, established in April 2007, is a family-operated childcare facility located on a working farm in Mappleton, East Yorkshire, and is conveniently close to Mappleton beach. The day nursery caters to children from birth to eight years old and operates 51 weeks a year, with closures only for Christmas and Bank Holidays.
The setting is structured into three distinct age-appropriate sections: dedicated spaces for infants aged 0-2, toddlers aged 2-3, and a pre-school building for children aged 3-5. This allows them to accommodate up to 18 babies, 24 toddlers, and 24 pre-schoolers simultaneously.
The nursery is proud of its outstanding reputation for providing high-quality childcare, focusing on all areas of learning and development. They achieve this through a team of highly qualified, dedicated, and caring staff who design stimulating, exciting, and fun learning experiences.
A significant emphasis is placed on outdoor learning, with children encouraged to explore the extensive outdoor environment, including an all-weather play area, the surrounding farm, and the nearby beach, providing numerous opportunities for fresh air and engaging activities.

Inclusion & environment
Inclusion is at the heart of the setting and is supported by highly successful partnerships with other professionals. Staff diligently monitor children's progress to identify developmental gaps or delay. This informs meticulous action plans and detailed early intervention programmes.
There is a strong focus on learning in the outdoor environment and through the local community. Children's learning flows seamlessly between indoors and outdoors, and leaders and staff believe that the natural world provides children with a sense of wonder and excitement for learning that cannot be achieved elsewhere.
Fantastic nursery, I can not recommend enough! My 3 children all currently attend and the staff, facilities and overall feel of the nursery is amazing. The children are always doing so many engaging learning actives. The staff are all so warm and my children love them. They are always so happy and excited to attend.
