Fatiha Nursery, established in 2013, provides early years education with a distinct Muslim ethos. The founders bring over two decades of international nursery experience, focusing on individualized care to nurture each child's unique talents and interests.
The curriculum aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), covering seven crucial areas of learning, including communication, personal development, and literacy, while seamlessly integrating Islamic principles and the Arabic language. This approach aims to foster a strong sense of identity, pride in heritage, and confidence, enabling children to become compassionate and responsible members of society.
The nursery operates 42 weeks a year, Monday to Friday, with dedicated staff committed to creating a loving and secure environment. They have multiple branches in London and Kent, as well as an international presence in Riyadh.
Our ethos
Fatiha Nursery is guided by a Muslim ethos, welcoming children from all backgrounds. The core of their philosophy is to instill in children a strong sense of identity grounded in their religious and cultural heritage, drawing lessons from prophetic traditions such as kindness, good manners, and respect for diversity. They believe that understanding and embracing one's identity is crucial for becoming a well-adjusted and confident member of a multicultural society. The nursery integrates bite-sized lessons from the Qur’an and Sunnah, focusing on practical moral teachings to develop an Islamic personality and behavior. Additionally, the Arabic language is taught to enhance children's understanding of Islam, support their prayers, and boost their cognitive abilities and verbal expression.
What it's like
Children are happy, safe and motivated to learn in this family-orientated nursery. Their attachments with staff are nurturing and secure. Staff know children very well. Children excitedly explore the well-organised environment, choosing the activities and resources which they are interested in.
