Avoid this nursery. Our experience with Fennies has been extremely stressful and upsetting for both us and our baby. From the very beginning, things were disorganised. We were first placed in one room and then moved to the bigger kids’ room as our baby was confident with walking. On just the second day of settling in we were told the original room was full and we could not go back even though nothing had been properly discussed or agreed with us. Following day they said we can go back if we want , after complaining to them. They also promise that a key person will only be assigned after five days of settling in, once they have had time to observe the child and build a bond. In our case, on day two, someone casually told us that a staff member would be the key person even though she was not in the room most of the time and our baby was with another staff all the time . The very next day, when I asked again, I was told something completely different, that the person is not affected by what the others say. Staff did not even agree among themselves on such a basic and important matter. What is going on in there? The key person who was supposedly assigned to our baby was absent for two out of the four settling-in days we attended. When we asked what our baby had done during the day, her response was that she would need to ask others as she was not in the room. This is very concerning when a child is supposed to be building trust and attachment with a consistent caregiver. There was also no agreed approach to settling. In one room, staff told us to leave quietly without saying goodbye. The manager told us the opposite, that we should always say goodbye. Such inconsistency left us with no confidence in their ability to manage such an important stage. Their Ofsted report shows why they received an “Inadequate” rating and our experience reflected exactly that. On the last day of settling in we decided not to continue. We emailed the nursery explaining our concerns and requesting our money back. They did not reply until the end of what would have been our child’s first official day. By that time, they had already deleted our child’s profile from their app. This clearly showed they did not want us to continue but they still asked us to share our concerns only as a formality. In the end, we recovered the first month’s payment but still lost £100. Far more importantly, our baby is now afraid of nurseries and we are left in a very stressful situation because of the lack of care, organisation and professionalism at Fennies. The only positive was one staff member, Ildiko, who genuinely cared for our child and supported us. Sadly, one person’s kindness cannot outweigh an overall culture of poor practice, lack of transparency and disregard for children’s wellbeing.

Our little one is thriving and so happy when he goes to nursery, he really has a great bond with the room staff and as parents that all you can ask for when putting your child in any sort of daycare. Lovely team - and little one is forever speaking about his key workers! Thanks Fennies Ealing, especially Shannakay and Sophia!

We are so happy with Fennies Nursery in Ealing! After having to switch from another nursery, we couldn’t be more pleased with our choice. The overall structure, including events that involve the whole family, is incredible. Most importantly, the care provided is rooted in professionalism, soulful family warmth, and a nurturing approach that truly supports the children’s growth, even amidst challenges. The children here are blossoming, and you can see it from the very first look. Our son is still settling in, but this is by far the safest and most joyful environment we’ve encountered. We couldn’t have wished for a better place for him after our difficult experience with the previous nursery. Well done, team! The fact that Fennies is a family-run business makes a huge difference, and it clearly shows in everything they do. From the bottom of our hearts huge thanks to everyone! Highly recommend*****

We couldn’t be happier with Fennies. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear this was a special place. The staff are incredibly nurturing, kind, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of the children. They’ve created a warm, playful and welcoming environment. What really stands out is the level of care and attention to detail. The team goes above and beyond, making thoughtful observations about my daughter’s health, emotional development, and overall wellbeing. They don’t just look after the children—they truly care for them, which gives us so much confidence and peace of mind. Both the staff in the rooms and the management are amazing. Communication is seamless, and they’re always happy to answer questions or share updates. You can feel the passion and dedication in everything they do. I no longer live that close to Fennies but I wouldn’t dream of moving my daughter somewhere else. Highly recommended nursery.

We love Fennies Ealing! My child settled in very well. It's evident how much he enjoys his time at this nursery. The staff are amazing. The nursery keeps us updated via their app, posting numerous photos, activity reports, and observations. The rooms are spacious, light, and airy, equipped with brand-new toys and equipment.
