Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The special educational needs coordinator ensures that children receive the support they need to close gaps in their learning and development. Staff adapt the curriculum and play areas to include and motivate all children, providing more space for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities to explore and use resources.

Outdoor space

Children dig holes near trees to create 'toad houses' and cover them with natural materials found in the forest. There are plans in place to further improve the outdoor learning environment. During forest-school activities, staff ensure children are well-supervised.

First Friends nursery are amazing, all the staff and warm, welcoming and very interactive with the children. They provide a safe and fun environment for the children to play and learn in. Any slight issue is always discussed and sorted straight away. We have not had any major issues and my child always loves going to nursery. I highly recommend this daycare!

Fantastic nursery, my child is always so happy and excited at drop off. Throughout the day they do a variety of fun activities and also help the children gain their independence and learn an array of new skills. Highly recommend and the staff are so lovely and helpful too!

Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. It’s wonderful seeing our daughter get excited about going to nursery school here. In just a short month her vocabulary and social skills have improved tremendously. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way. The staff is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and we’re very thankful to the manager and the whole team at First Friends Day Nursery!
