Flutterbys Children's Nursery, established in 2015, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. 30pm (excluding bank holidays), this "Good" rated nursery (Ofsted, July 2022) offers a welcoming, home-from-home environment.
Children are warmly greeted by caring staff who encourage independence and a love for the outdoors from an early age. The curriculum, overseen by a manager with a Level 6 early years qualification, is ambitious and well-balanced, providing stimulating activities both indoors and out.
Children can often be found in the garden, making potions with dried flowers and herbs, or confidently navigating balancing planks. Flutterbys Children's Nursery places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, allowing children to actively explore and engage with their environment throughout the day.
The nursery is exceptionally supportive of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Staff work closely with parents and external agencies to ensure every child's needs are met, leading to good progress in their development and enjoyment of the nursery.

Inclusion & environment
Children who have been identified as requiring additional help are supported very well. Staff understand the importance of working with parents and outside agencies to ensure children's needs are met effectively. Consequently, these children are making good progress in their development and enjoy attending the nursery.
Children are active learners and excitedly explore and use the different areas outside throughout the day. They make potions and pretend perfume with water, dried flowers and herbs picked from the nursery garden, using their physical skills to mix and pummel the ingredients.
