Inclusion & environment
Every child, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make progress. Staff spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.
As children paint outdoors, they learn to mix colours and swirl paint on a large cotton canvas. In the garden, children can run, jump, manoeuvre cars and balance on boards. However, there are less opportunities for babies to enjoy a range of play opportunities, which sometimes hinders the joy and engagement in outdoor play.
Truly wonderful and special nursery. The staff are extremely warm, genuine and professional, and attend to our child with beautiful devotion and care. Feels like a rare environment and oasis of kindness and thoughtfulness where the children thrive. A true privilege to find Golders Hill Nursery, we are so grateful for the best non-parenting parenting you will find anywhere. Large modern space with oodles of room for kids to run around, great variety of activities from painting to sandpits, true regard for healthy food, outdoor play and a philosophy of love and care. Did I mention the loveliest people. Japanese influence, fantastic quality and a standard well above UK norms. Ofsted marked them down on some technicality which is truly mental when you experience this place, so we lucked out with small class sizes, it feels like one-on-one play with my child for 8-10 hours a day with playful carers he adores. Now Ofsted got their marbles back so this marvelous secret in GG is out. Our child comes home every day buzzing with life, happily tuckered out after a day full of joy. Keep up the amazing atmosphere and values. We are forever grateful. Thank you.
Read on GoogleMy daughter attended this nursery and was in Oceans classroom. Her teachers were outstanding, particularly her key person Emi. They were all so kind and caring with her and had a very gentle approach. My daughter looked forward to going into nursery, and all of the activities were considered and well planned. They spent a lot of time outside and I really enjoyed seeing the weekly update of photos uploaded at the end of the week. Jane Densham was a pleasure to engage with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend GHDN to friends and family.
Read on GoogleI found this to be a very nice nursery. My son attended the pre-school group and really enjoyed his time there. Compared to other places, it felt more relaxed and less busy, which suited him very well. The outdoor area is huge, and the children spend more time outside than in most other settings. The staff are very kind and helpful. Thank you for taking such good care of Luca :)
