Goodinge Early Years Centre, rated Good by Ofsted on 5th October 2021, is a childcare setting for children aged 0-4 years. Open from 8am until 6pm on weekdays, 49 weeks a year, it operates on an all-year basis.
The nursery provides a bright and engaging environment where children can explore their interests, make choices about their play, and move freely between inside and outside spaces. Children are happy and settled, developing good relationships with staff, and feeling safe and secure through excellent settling-in procedures and a strong key-person system.
The nursery is inclusive, with staff seeking and following advice from professionals like speech and language therapists to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), helping them to make good progress. Children enjoy extensive outdoor areas, offering plenty of opportunities for fresh air and various activities.
Babies engage in sensory play, while older children explore the garden with large play equipment and wheeled vehicles to develop their large-muscle skills. Leaders and managers are committed to providing high-quality experiences for all children, implementing an ambitious curriculum that supports all children, especially those who are most disadvantaged, to make the best possible progress.

Staff ensure that the nursery is inclusive by seeking and following advice from professionals to support children's learning needs. Children have plenty of opportunities for fresh air and enjoy a range of activities in the extensive outdoor areas, supporting those who prefer to learn outside.
