About this day nursery

Growing Places @ Anders Hall in Waterlooville offers holiday care for children aged from four to eleven. The club operates from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays. It was registered with Ofsted in May 2024, and at a subsequent visit, an inspector noted that leaders work to reduce barriers that children may face in accessing the provision. Staff were seen to know the children well, creating warm and secure relationships where children's opinions are valued.

Children's activities are planned around their interests and encourage them to work together, exploring different cultures and learning new skills. The programme includes visits to a community farm for experiences in animal care, and outdoor physical play such as football. Staff also support children in learning about personal safety. To enhance the provision, the inspector recommended improving the organisation of transitions between activities and routines throughout the day.

Pricing & funding

Fees are reviewed annually in April and include meals and healthy snacks. The nursery offers flexible sessions with a discount for full-time places and sibling bookings. Holidays and staff training days are charged at a reduced rate, while bank holidays are billed at the full rate.
