About this day nursery

Happy Kids Newbury provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children aged 2 and above can learn through play, exploration, and first-hand experiences. The nursery focuses on supporting children to be independent, confident, curious, kind, and resilient, with a strong emphasis on happiness, wellbeing, and communication.

They work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development. The curriculum is designed to foster a love for learning, encouraging physical activity both indoors and outdoors, and promoting healthy choices.

Happy Kids Newbury aims to provide a solid foundation for children as they transition to their next educational adventures. The nursery operates during term-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, offering flexible session times, including extended hours.

Our ethos

Here at Happy Kids, every individual child is a leader in their own learning and development. Through in the moment planning, an enabling environment, quality interactions and nurture, children are supported and encouraged to be independent, confident, curious, kind, and resilient. We recognise each child as an individual and adapt our approach accordingly, working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure we support children holistically with their learning and development. Happiness, wellbeing, and independence are at the core of our values and what underpins children to become confident: Communicators Social interactors Explorers In addition, Happy Kids recognises the need for children to be fit and healthy, free flow play inside and out promotes physical play and learning. Children are also supported and encouraged to recognise and make healthy choices with food, hygiene, and risk taking. It is our aim that children leave Happy Kids and move onto their next educational adventure with a solid foundation for their learning journey. A happy, contented child will flourish in a safe and stimulating environment.

Staff support children to manage risks for themselves in the well-resourced garden area. Children show great care as they practise new skills, such as balancing and climbing.

Amazing place, best decision I made for my daughter. She is thriving, staff are wonderful and my daughter is so happy, I feel confident knowing she is so well cared for whilst I am at work.
