Our ethos
At Holland Park Pre-School we aim to provide excellent care and education for children aged 2 to 5. We are a non-religious school open to families of all religions and none. We believe in planting the seeds of a strong system of values that will put our children in good stead as they continue on their learning journeys. The individual wellbeing of each child is of the upmost importance to us. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and strongly believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. We value parents and carers as equal active partners in their children’s learning. We provide a safe and rich environment that encourages each child to develop communication skills, creativity, independent learning and working as part of a team, and also nurture a sense of individuality, self-reliance and determination. We encourage our children to think for themselves and to question.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well. Staff work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure children get the required levels of support they need, with quick interventions to help children make the best possible progress.
The curriculum for physical development is considered. Children participate in weekly sports classes, developing their balance and hand-to-eye coordination. However, children do not always get enough opportunities in their daily play to develop skills such as running, climbing and balancing, which impacts their consistent development in physical skills.
Both of my children thrived at HPPS. The nurturing environment and exceptional teachers not only enhance my children’s emotional and learning development, but they were always happy. For a busy city like London, you cannot top having a nursery set in the beautiful iconic park. Children not only flourish in nature, but in feeling safe and happy. For me there is no other nursery school that could have matched HPPS for my children.
