About this day nursery

Holmsdale Manor Nursery, established in 1986 by Janet and Andrew Ward, offers a nurturing environment for children in Ibstock. With Janet's background as an infant school teacher, the nursery was founded on the principle of providing high-quality, personalised care.

Their daughter, Katie, now a qualified early years teacher, continues to uphold the family's legacy. The nursery has expanded to encompass over 2 acres of beautiful grounds, including Grove Wood, home to their pioneering Forest School, which was one of the first in Leicestershire.

Holmsdale Manor Nursery believes in fostering a love for learning through play and exploration, both indoors and in their extensive outdoor areas. They prioritise a holistic approach to early childhood education, with a strong emphasis on nature-based learning.

The dedicated and highly qualified staff, many with advanced degrees and Forest School certifications, work to create a homely setting where each child's individual needs are met and their interests are sparked.

My son goes to Holiday Club. And he loves it! They have so much fun there, such as woodwork, day trips, forest school, children go for walks, spend a lot of time outside. Teachers are all so nice and friendly. I totally recommend it 🤩
