About this day nursery

Humpty Dumpty Childcare, established in 1991, provides a nurturing environment for children aged 1 to 4 years. Open all year round from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6 pm, excluding bank holidays, the nursery ensures consistent care.

The curriculum is varied and tailored to children's individual interests and developmental stages, as noted in the "Good" Ofsted report from February 2024. This personalised approach helps children make good progress in their learning, whether they are making salt dough fossils or exploring farm animals in oats.

The nursery places a strong emphasis on communication and language development, with staff trained to expand children's vocabulary through daily interactions and activities. Children learn about safety with clear explanations and guidance from "PC Paws," the nursery teddy.

Humpty Dumpty Childcare offers excellent outdoor facilities, where all children can engage in daily outdoor play, hunt for bugs, and develop their physical skills. Healthy lifestyles are promoted through activities like "wake and shake" and yoga, complemented by nutritious meals designed in collaboration with a nutritionist.

Parents appreciate the good communication from key persons and the secure environment, ensuring they are well-informed about their child's progress and safety.
