Children enthusiastically engage in activities, taking responsibility for their belongings and enjoying a wide range of carefully selected resources that support their development. Leaders are dedicated to supporting families, maintaining open communication about children's development, and ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere where children feel cared for and confident to approach staff for help.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

All staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities well. Leaders and staff use their assessments of children to implement activities that will improve children's development, for example, identifying children with difficulties pronouncing sounds and playing games to teach them. Leaders work with external agencies and have plans to follow up on referrals to ensure children receive the timely support that they need.

Outdoor space

Outdoors, children experiment and use their imaginations, making an imaginary 'slug cake' in the mud kitchen. Staff encourage children's talking by asking questions that prompt them to explore the natural environment by touching, feeling and smelling.
