Inclusion & environment
Staff support children's progress well. They identify any delays early, allowing opportunity to work effectively with families and other professionals to deliver specific, targeted support.
Children are challenged to climb and find different ways to move across the garden. They learn to take care because risks may have consequences, such as falling. Children are developing resilience and learning to manage their own risks.
My son has been at Kenwood for two years now and as such has been in all the different rooms, baby, toddler and preschool. He settled really quickly and has gone every day happily and barely glanced back to say goodbye each morning. The staff are all lovely and very attentive to his needs and he clearly loves them all and enjoys being there. It’s so important to find somewhere with the fight feel for you and Kenwood was just that. We loved that it was small and personal and that staff knew him and us well, it feels like he’s with family. The nursery itself is really clean and well managed, the activities and play are varied and age appropriate and really support development and the kids spend lots out time outdoors in the fresh air which was very important to us. Our son’s learning and development has been very well supported by the nursery staff and we’ve been kept informed of what they are working on so that we can supplement at home. I can’t recommend Kenwood enough, it’s a hidden gem!
Read on GoogleI have two boys who have both been extremely happy at Kenwood Day nursery. My eldest (now at school) still talks about it, and my youngest currently goes 3 times a week. It is a fantastic, family run nursery. With a small team, all the staff seem to know each and every child, and have all worked together for years. There are great facilities, and they pride themselves in offering a diverse and varied mixture of activities all focused on child development but with an emphasis on play. Cannot recommend enough!
Read on GoogleWe have nothing but praise for Kenwood Day Nursery and its wonderful staff. The care shown, the stimulating activities and the tailored support were of the highest quality. Our daughter went to the nursery from 18 months to 4 years of age and still remembers it with great fondness. Others from the nursery are now at the same school as her, and it was noticeable how easily they settled thanks to the wonderful experience and help they received at Kenwood. We really cannot praise it highly enough and feel eternally grateful that our daughter was lucky enough to attend such a lovely, caring nursery.
Read on GoogleKenwood is a fantastic nursery. The staff are so warm and caring. It's small enough that all the staff know your child well, not just their keyworker. My son was very happy during his time there. He was not a great sleeper and they got him napping in no time. They also do a great range of activities, with lots of messy/wet play. The outside space is a really good all weather area which means they really do go outside every day. I would happily recommend it to anyone.
Read on GoogleBoth of my children attended Kenwood Road Nursery until we moved out of the area. My oldest started nursery when he was around 19 months old and as he had been at home with me, I was looking for a small nursery with a homely feel and that is exactly what Kenwood was able to offer. We saw a big change in him after a month being in nursery. Confidence and language development soared as you could tell he was happy in his new environment. The older and younger children socialise together at various points in the day and I think this helped prepare my son for being around his new sister when she arrived. The nursery was fabulous at getting him ready for being an older sibling and dealing with that change. The staff at Kenwood are fantastic at what they do and if I had any questions relating to my children they would be only too happy to help. I felt like parents and the staff work together as a team to care for the children.
