Kids Planet Dukinfield, established in 2014, provides outstanding childcare for children aged 0-4 years. Open Monday to Friday, all year round, from 7:30 am to 5:45 pm, the nursery offers a rich and engaging environment where children thrive.
The dedicated staff create extremely inviting and inventive experiences, such as breaking ice to find frozen dinosaurs or exploring the taste and textures of fruit, to build on children's knowledge and understanding of the world. Babies are exceptionally engaged in activities like song and rhyme time, laying a strong foundation for listening and attention skills.
The nursery prioritises developing communication and language through high-quality interactions, open-ended questions, and repetitive language for younger children. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, with leaders and staff passionate about achieving high standards and addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children's development.
The key-person system is highly effective, ensuring smooth transitions between rooms and individualised support. The nursery has an excellent process for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), working closely with outside agencies and efficiently implementing strategies.
Children also benefit from a wide range of experiences, including trips into the community to places like art galleries and museums, which support communication and language development and introduce them to new environments. Parents speak highly of the support they receive, particularly during the pandemic, and appreciate how well staff understand their children's personalities, promoting a sense of security and fostering development.
