Kids Planet Halton, established in 2023, provides outstanding early years education for children aged 1 to 4 years. Open all year round, Monday to Friday, with sessions from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, the nursery ensures a consistent and nurturing environment for young learners.
The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to empower children, encouraging their active participation in decision-making, such as through the pre-school council where they vote on menu changes and well-being days. Staff interactions are consistently of exceptionally high quality, with a deep understanding of each child's developmental stage and future learning goals.
This meticulous approach supports children's seamless transition to school. The nursery places a strong emphasis on physical development, with activities tailored to each age group, from babies exploring movement to pre-schoolers mastering balance and coordination with apparatus and wheeled toys.
Outdoor learning is creatively integrated, with staff skilfully linking mathematics to role play, as seen in children enthusiastically collecting circular items for their superhero headquarters. For children awaiting diagnosis, support is highly secure, and funding is used effectively to meet individual needs.
Parents consistently report a strong sense of belonging and community, appreciating the detailed assessments and daily photos that keep them informed of their child's progress. A robust key-person system fosters secure, warm, and trusting relationships, contributing to children's excellent behaviour, their ability to share and take turns, and their deep engagement in play.
Staff also excel in developing children's language skills through attentive listening and open-ended questions, fostering rich conversations. The nursery celebrates a diverse range of cultural events, helping children build identity and appreciate different cultures.
Furthermore, children are encouraged to participate in yoga, promoting mindfulness and quiet re-charge alongside physical activity.
