30am until 6pm, all year round, catering to children aged 1 to 4 years. The day nursery received an overall "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 6 September 2022.

Children are described as extremely happy and form close bonds with staff in this warm, welcoming, and well-resourced setting. The curriculum intent is strong, with leaders and staff passionate about improving the day nursery and creating better outcomes for children.

This is evident in children's enthusiasm for learning, exploring new concepts, and the natural world, such as examining bugs with magnifying glasses or caring for flowers. Babies engage in sensory messy play, while toddlers learn about the natural world, and pre-school children have a vast outdoor area for exploring natural resources, digging for treasure, and swinging on a tree swing.

The nursery is adapting its outdoor area to provide even more open-ended opportunities for children to develop skills through natural resources, with children themselves providing ideas, fostering a sense of belonging. The key-person system is effective, ensuring staff know the children well and support transitions smoothly.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are extremely well supported, with regular progress reviews and parent communication. Many children receive one-to-one support, and the special educational needs coordinator provides staff training.

Mathematics is well integrated into daily experiences, with staff incorporating number recognition and counting through activities like play dough and picking tomatoes. Parents are notably positive about the support and communication they receive, feeling their children's individual needs are met and that their children are well-prepared for school.

SEND provision

Children with special education needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are extremely well supported. Staff complete regular reviews of the children's progress and keep parents informed. Several children receive one-to-one support, and the special educational needs coordinator understands the importance of children achieving their goals and has supported staff by carrying out training on supporting children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Pre-school children have a vast outdoor area where they can explore natural resources freely. They can be found digging for treasure with real spades and swinging on the tree swing. Leaders are adapting their outdoor area to provide more open-ended opportunities for children so they can develop their skills through natural resources.
