Inclusion & environment
Leaders implement a clear and embedded approach to inclusion, meeting individual needs through robust assessments and tailored adaptations, including purposeful sensory experiences, visual timetables, and 'choosing boards'. Leaders consistently seek advice from external professionals, working collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to support children with SEND, ensuring they make notable progress from their starting points.
All children have access to outside play and enjoy experiences that they may not have previously had. Children are encouraged to be active, indoors and outdoors, and enjoy exploring different sensory experiences and textures, such as mud, water, flour and grass.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who face barriers to their learning achieve very well. All children make sustained and rapid progress from their starting points.
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism at this nursery. On 2nd September, I submitted an application for my baby to start. I was told I would be contacted, but nobody got in touch. On 17th September, I applied again online and made the payment. On 22nd September, when I went to the nursery, a staff member gave me an email address and asked me to send the days I needed for my baby that week. I sent the email with all the information requested. However, when I came to drop off my baby, I was told he couldn’t stay. Staff claimed the email only referred to my older child’s after-school club, even though I had clearly listed the days for my baby. Later, they even said they had not seen any email from me. This situation has caused me stress, wasted time, and left me without childcare when I needed it most. Very unprofessional and disappointing experience.
