Procedures for monitoring children's progress are robust. This means that emerging gaps in their learning and development are identified early, and gaps are swiftly closed. Skilful teaching throughout the nursery supports all children to make excellent progress. Where support from outside agencies is required, there is a strong network to facilitate this in a timely manner.

Outdoor space

Outdoor learning and the acquisition of skills and varied experiences shine as key themes. Staff promote clear rules and boundaries which support children's excellent behaviour and attitudes towards their learning. For instance, children understand the importance of following rules and listening carefully to instructions during regular fire-pit sessions in their forest area.

Both my children have attended from 7 months old and my eldest will graduate from pre-school soon. Over the years my children have loved being there and I have seen them grow and flourish during their time there. The staff are really supportive and communicate well. There have been little niggles (as is expected in any nursery setting) but when these have been raised, they have been dealt with quickly and well. We've been really impressed with how they have dealt with Coronavirus, how they've adapted, changed and supported keyworker parents and children throughout. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We have used Happy Days since 2013 for both of my boys. I feel confident that they are well looked after. The staff are great and have provided me with much reassurance over the years. My youngest cannot wait to get through the door on a morning.

My little girl loves going to Happy Days. I am a very anxious parent and the girls are so supportive and understanding, they send me pictures of how her day is going to reassure me. It’s hard leaving her but I feel the staff make it so much easier for me to do and the mum guilt soon disappears when I see what a great time she is having.

Both my children attend this nursery and absolutely love it. All the staff are so kind and caring and go out of their way to make sure they have the best day possible. They have so much fun and enjoy playing in the fantastic gardens. Could not recommend this nursery enough.
